Sankofa, an Adinkra symbol means to retrieve. Ateaa Tina sung with a few top Ghanaian musicians a few years back who produced a number of major hits. She decided to put a hold on her singing career to pursue other things. Now in reference to what Sankofa means, has returned to reintroduce a new brand of soothing waves.
A blend of Love, motivation and inspiration is what Sankofa a classic album defines. Sankofa connects the typical Ghanaian highlife music of the 90’s and the new African music trend Afrobeat.
This classic album has its message centered around the definition of true love, women empowerment, the fight against domestic violence, the journey of life and how it treats us as individuals.
Ateaa Tina believes she has a call to touch lives not limited to any target group but to anyone who hears her music shall be impacted positively.
